Dear Kobe Bryant it never mattered if you wore a jersey with the number 8, or 10, or even 24 that didn't matter because the same greatness filled the jersey that was worn by none other than you the legend that is Kobe Bryant. Five time champion, two time finals MVP, eighteen time all star, scoring champ and even a slam dunk champ which not too many people can say. On this your final day of your incredible NBA career I have to salute you for the twenty years of greatness you've displayed in the NBA. From high school to the pros. The tough times came but you kept going. The championship drought came and went and you proved when most say you wouldn't win any without Shaq you delivered two more and you had a possible chance for a third. Let's not forget about the fact that you did three peat easily dominating the league for three years in a row and arguably forming one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history. You were apart of the one two punch that prevented quite a few NBA legends from winning a ring. The Black Mamba's final day has come and I have to give you the credit you deserve. An assassin and fearless. You brought what the game was missing when Jordan retired someone who's cold blooded and winning means far more to them than almost anything else. You went from hated to beloved by the world. I gotta thank you for the last second made shots, the many posters you've created by dunking on too many people, the great moments, the not so great moments and most importantly the five championships. The game is losing a legend, a future hall of famer and most importantly a student who became a teacher of the game. Thank you Kobe Bryant for all the great things you've done for the game and I know the millions of people you've inspired wants to thank you as well. Salute to the Black Mamba!
